What to Expect Over Your First Few Visits:

Patient Forms
Upon entering our office, our receptionist will welcome you as a member of our family. We will request that you complete our patient forms located in the New Patient Center. This paperwork provides us with your health history and information on your condition. It is best to fill these forms out before your first visit and turned them in to the clinic either by fax, mail or in person.
Consultation
Like a good detective, all the facts will be gathered through an in-depth history involving multiple page questionnaires. Next, you will have a thorough consultation with Dr. Greg Fors to discuss your health-related problems, concerns, and potential treatment options. This initial visit is designed for Dr. Greg Fors to learn more about you, your condition, and expectations to determine how our care can meet your goals.
Examinations
Based on this thorough consultation, the examinations to be performed will be determined. These include a physical, neurological or orthopedic exam, along with special laboratory blood and urine tests as determined by your history and exam. This in depth examination determines if yours is a case that be can helped naturally, and if so, what type a biomedical treatment will best bring about real healing. However, nothing will be done in our office without your consent.
Radiographic Studies
Depending on your specific condition, we may take X-rays as well. Radiological imaging, CT, MRI, plain film, helps us to determine the underlying causes of your dysfunction and develop the most effective treatment plan for you. These studies also alert us of any serious conditions. Our imaging studies are performed through our radiology partner CDI nearby.
Report of Findings
Once the information is collected and all examinations, lab tests and studies are completed, Dr. Greg Fors will give you a detailed report of all findings and answer any questions. Generally this takes place on your second or third visit depending on when the preliminary testing is completed.
The primary questions addressed in the report of findings include:
1) What’s wrong?
2) Best course of treatment needed
3) How long it will take
4) What are the costs involved
After reviewing your history, examination findings, and health goals, Dr. Fors will discuss recommendations and notify you if your condition requires care with other providers. Dr. Greg Fors will provide the best treatment and wellness program for your needs.
Treatment
At the conclusion of this process, you can choose to begin treatment. This may include nutritional therapy, herbal medicine, acupuncture, craniosacral therapy, myofascial therapy, decompression traction therapy, corrective exercises, spinal adjustments, physical therapy, and/or soft tissue massage. Treatment is interactive, so you can express concerns about the different styles of treatment anytime.
Wellness Program
Dr. Fors will also suggest a wellness program to incorporate outside of treatment visits. If you are in pain when you first come into our office this may include: ice or heat application instructions, certain activities or positions to avoid, and at home exercises and/or stretches. Your myofascial rehabilitation will also include a self-care device invented by Dr. Fors called the FENIX rehab system.
If you desire, our wellness team will work with you also to create healthy habits and routines for your lifestyle. Every person is unique; therefore everyone requires a customized wellness plan. The purpose of our wellness program is for you to achieve real healing, by utilizing a healthy diet, exercise, and maintain a positive mental state.
